My wife and I watch this together and it’s become our decompression show. There’s a gentleness to British competition TV that American versions never quite land, no manufactured drama, just people who genuinely want each other to succeed at making a good bowl. Keith and Rich feel like uncles who happen to know everything about clay. Something about hands in mud, kilns firing, glazes cracking in unexpected ways, it’s meditative in a way most TV isn’t. We end every episode a little calmer than we started it.
